Patrick Mulcare

Coach Patrick grew up in Dayton, Ohio and has been in or around the pool for 25 years. He attended his first Olympic Trials in 2012 at the age of 16, competing in the 200 IM, 400IM, and 200 backstroke. A graduate of the University of Southern California, he still holds record in the 200y backstroke, having broken Trojan Olympic champion Lenny Krayzelburg's 1997 USC record in 2016. Patrick also holds the USC records for the 200 LCM backstroke and the 200IM LCM.

Patrick returned to the pool as a coach in 2024, working with age group and masters swimmers. Off the pool deck, he is a NASM certified personal trainer, helping athletes of all ages build strength, recover from injuries, and create healthy habits for a balanced life.  Patrick is thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to such a storied program and is excited to help the next generation fall in love with the sport of swimming.
