Kristeen Gracia

Coach Kristeen joined the Nadadores in 2018 and brings over 20 years of swimming and coaching experience to the pool deck. She began swimming competitively at a young age with San Jose Aquatics in Northern California. Her love for the sport and experience as an athlete inspired her to begin teaching swim lessons and coaching summer league while still in high school. Through these programs, she taught swimmers of all ages while building a strong foundation in water safety and developing an understanding of the importance of proper technique.

In 2006, Coach Kristeen began coaching entry-level and competitive novice swimmers with Monterey County Aquatics. After taking a break from coaching to pursue her college education, she returned to the pool deck in 2012, coaching age-group swimmers at Golden West Swim Club. She also expanded into high school coaching as the Head JV Coach at Ocean View High School, helping lead the program as League Champions in 2016 and 2017. Coach Kristeen continued her involvement in high school swimming, serving as Head JV Coach at Mission Viejo High School in 2021 and 2023 and Head Varsity Coach in 2022.

Outside of MVN, Coach Kristeen served on the Southern California Swimming Board of Directors as the DDEI Chair from 2021–2025 and currently serves as the Orange Committee DDEI Rep. In 2021, she was selected to the USA Swimming National Diversity Select Camp Coaching Staff and has led the organization and coordination of the Southern California Swimming DDEI Camps in 2019–2022 and 2025.

Coach Kristeen is excited to be part of the Mission Viejo Nadadores village and enjoys helping young athletes develop strong foundations, good character, life skills, confidence, and a genuine joy for the sport that will last beyond this deck. She strives to keep swimming fun, exciting, and challenging while helping athletes grow both in and out of the pool, and looks forward to continuing to grow alongside the swimmers, families, and coaching staff.
