Anton Latkin
My name is Anton Latkin, and I’m originally from Belarus. I was a professional swimmer and a member of the Belarus National Team from 2015 to 2020. During that time, I earned three bronze medals at the European Swimming Championships (2015 – Netanya, Israel; 2017 – Copenhagen, Denmark) and a bronze medal at the 2016 World Championships in Windsor, Canada. I also competed at multiple World University Games and was an Olympic hopeful for both Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. In Belarus, I am a multiple-time national champion, record holder, and consistent podium finisher at national championships and cups.
I hold a degree in Physical Culture (Science) from Polotsk State University, as well as a two-year specialized coaching certification in swimming.
I began my coaching career in 2020, working with children aged 6 and up in Belarus. In 2023, I moved to the United States and joined the JBarracuda’s Swim Team in San Diego, where I coached swimmers aged 6 to 18. I also taught learn-to-swim classes for children as young as 3 years old and led adult Masters groups, helping prepare swimmers for U.S. Masters Nationals.
As a coach, I’m passionate about teaching not only technique, but also discipline, confidence, and a love for the sport. I believe that swimming — like life — is built on consistency, patience, and support, and I strive to create that environment for every athlete I work with.
